Aranda House has demonstrated the impact a Therapeutic Community can have on quality of life, using the World Health Organisation Quality of Life Survey.

Our Case Managers diligently complete the WHOQUOL-BREF with residents at the start, middle and end of treatment.

Sixteen residents who stayed for the 12 week program and did the WHOQUAL-BREF on intake AND exit showed an average increase of 1.91 in general wellbeing score.

This was greater than the average 1.4 increase reported for July to December 2020!

Twenty-five residents who did WHOQUAL-BREF at intake and mid treatment, but did not have an exit score, showed an average increase of 0.79 in the general wellbeing score.

This was also greater than the .54 improvement for July to December 2020!

The greatest improvements in scores (across all 41 residents who did the survey at least twice during their stay) were in the Social Relationships, Level of Independence and Psychological domains.

Thank you Aranda House Case Managers for the time and effort you put into gathering data to evaluate the effectiveness of our Therapeutic Community.
